Curator Ioana Gordon-Smith at the Asia Pacific Triennial in Brisbane
Pātaka Senior Curator Ioana Gordon-Smith has been in Brisbane for the opening week of the Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art at QAGOMA (the Queensland Art Gallery of Modern Art). As well as participating in a panel discussion, Ioana contributed the essay “Knowledge exchange: Reviving tapa through transnationalism”.

Meet Gary Collins: Pātaka exhibition designer who turns ideas into experiences
Gary Collins, Pātaka Exhibitions and Collections Manager, has worked on over 350 art exhibitions since he started out working in galleries and museums in Christchurch in the late 1970s. He says it’s the best sector to be in. Gary recently designed Boro – Timeworn Textiles of Japan.
